In a recent interview reported by 123Telugu, director Krishna Chaitanya shared some interesting behind-the-scenes insights about the film's journey. Originally, the movie was supposed to star Sharwanand in the lead role.

Krishna Chaitanya said, "I first shared the idea of the 'Gangs of Godavari' with artist Anand Ramaraju, and from there, we began working on the story. The film initially started with Sharwanand. But Sharwanand asked to keep this movie on hold as his movie before this was an emotional film. Because of this, we encountered some gaps. Another movie of mine was also put on hold, and I was afraid there would be a lot of gaps. Then I narrated this story to Vishwak, and he liked the story, and the film took off again."

Vishwak Sen portrays a rugged and fierce young man with big political ambitions in 'Gangs of Godavari'. His character is depicted as a formidable and menacing figure determined to rise as a major force in his region.

The film showcases his intense journey, complete with high-octane action sequences. Alongside him, Anjali plays a significant and powerful role, while Neha Shetty appears as his love interest.

Despite facing multiple delays, the film is now ready for its grand release. The supporting cast includes veteran actors like Nassar and Sai Kumar, along with popular names such as Hyper Aadi, Madhunandan, Praveen, and Goparaju Ramana.
