Megastar Chiranjeevi recently returned from Paris, where he attended the ongoing
Olympics 2024 with his family members including his wife Surekha, son Ram Charan, daughter-in-law Upasana Kamineni, and granddaughter Klin Kaara Konidela. However, an incident at the airport during his return has sparked a significant buzz on social media.
A video capturing the incident has gone viral, showing Chiranjeevi pushing aside some fans who appeared to be airport staff members attempting to take selfies with him as he walked through the terminal. This action has elicited mixed reactions from netizens.
The video also shows that the staff member tried to take a selfie while both were walking and then again went close to the star for another picture before he was pushed.
Many fans expressed their disappointment with Chiranjeevi's behaviour, feeling that he mistreated those who admired him. On the other hand, some supported the actor, arguing that the fans were invading his privacy and trying to take pictures without his consent.
One social media user pointed out that a female airline staff member had motioned for the person seeking a photo to step aside, questioning the appropriateness of repeatedly approaching someone travelling with their family after a long flight.
Another user criticized Chiranjeevi tagging him in his tweet and wrote, "Chiranjeevi Rude Behaviour with Fans Airport".
Earlier recently another controversy had taken place at the airport involving Nagarjuna Akkineni, whose bodyguard pushed a fan who appeared to be specially-abled. The backlash led Nagarjuna to apologize publicly and return to the airport to meet the fan personally.
On the professional front, Chiranjeevi is gearing up for his next film, a socio-fantasy titled 'Vishwambhara.' which is slated for a theatrical release on January 10, 2025.
