During an interview, Adah Sharma, known for her roles in films such as S/o Satyamurthy, Kshnam, Subramanyam for Sale and Kalki, has opened about the casting couch in the Indian film industry. "Casting couch isn't something that just exists in the South or the North. I think it is something that has been spoken about worldwide. The production of couches exists universally," said Adah.

Anushka Shetty

During the promotional event of her film Nishabdham, Anushka Shetty stated that the casting couch does exist in the Telugu film industry and revealed how she has protected herself from it. She quoted saying, ''I admit that it exists in the Telugu film industry, but I never had to face it because I was straightforward.'' The Baahubali actress admitted that her straightforward attitude never gave a chance for anyone to exploit her.

During a media interaction, veteran actress Aamani confirmed the presence of the casting couch in the Telugu film industry. She said that she got a call from a new production house during her initial days. They wanted her to come to their guest house without her mother as she used to go everywhere with her. Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul Preet Singh, who was last seen playing a village belle in 'Konda Polam,' opened about casting couch in Telugu cinema. When asked about it, Rakul said that she has never faced any situation like that and knows many fellow actresses who have not faced the casting couch. She said, ‘’I personally have done so many films and I have never, ever come across a single person who has tried to act funny with me. Talent is what survives, and your hard work is going to get you places. I have always believed in that and I guess that's why I don't even attract people like that."
