But later, they found out it was a fake call, and there was no such offer from Prabhas or his official team.The family of the victim informed in an interview with Suman TV that they never received any financial support from Prabhas or from anyone else on his side. They informed that they were responding to all such calls amid that stressful situation, waiting for someone to come forward and help them sincerely. They learned later that the assurance of ₹50 lakh was totally false. The family also said that they never intended to mislead anyone and were simply narrating what they had been informed on the call.Even though the Prabhas donation turned out to be false, other celebrities did come forward to help Fish Venkat. Actor Vishwak Sen donated ₹2 lakh to support his treatment. Apart from him, popular actor and politician Pawan Kalyan also extended financial help earlier.
