The film has probably gone on to become Sudheer Babu’s biggest opener in the US, raking in $54,000 during its premieres. ‘Sammohanam’ released across 120 screens across US, a huge number for the actors reportedly. The tickets for the film were reportedly priced at $12 for the premiere on Thursday.
While distributors are yet to reveal the exact numbers, it is estimated for the film to have raked in the above number. The film has not just received good response from the audience, even Mahesh Babu took to social media and wrote, “Hearing lot of good reports from industry about #Sammohanam. Wonderful visuals, soothing music, novel concept & the performances of @isudheerbabu & @aditiraohydari. Best wishes to the cast & crew.” (sic)
Even Nirvana Cinemas, their distributors in the US wrote, “With Raving Reviews from Critics and super positive word of mouth, #Sammohanam tickets across USA are selling out fast.” (sic) Anupama Parameswaran too wrote, “#Sammohanam lots of love. lots of fun. @mokris_1772 gaaaru. Wonderful performance by @isudheerbabu @aditiraohydari @ItsActorNaresh gaaaru meeeku spcl mention. Congrats to the entire team.” (sic)
Sudheer Babu, Aditi Rao Hydari and Rahul Ramakrishna too put out posts thanking the audience for loving their film. ‘Sammohanam’ charts the journey of a cartoonist who detests the world of films and his journey when he falls in love with a movie star.
