Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameswaran starrer '18 Pages' under the direction of Palnati Surya Pratap had a theatrical release on December 23rd. Opened to positive reports from the targeted youth audience, '18 Pages' had a terrific week at the ticket windows.
As per the trade reports, the film collected massive Rs 20 crore gross at the worldwide box office. Though the film had a slow start, now utilizing the New Year weekend, '18 Pages' maintained the same momentum. The film is still running on 1000+ screens, and it will continue the sensation till the upcoming Sankranti releases.
Despite minimal publicity and very little awareness, '18 pages' has been growing at the box office thanks to strong word of mouth. The film's treatment of the beautiful love story is unique in Nikhil's usual style, and it touched everyone's heart in theatres.
The box office success was reflected in the audience's appreciation. The producers, who released the film on their own, are profiting handsomely in the double digits, making this a huge success for everyone involved.
