SIIMA 2015 Nominations: Best Lyricist

Dhanush
An actor, producer, lyricist, singer and we wonder what Dhanush is up to next. His movie, Velaiyilla Pattathari has already won several awards and the hearts of the people. While all the songs are a big hit in the movie, Amma Amma made waves and has also become a super hit. We wonder if he is going to take away the award as the best lyricist or the best actor?

Vairamuthu
The six time National award winning lyricist, Vairamuthu penned the lyrics for the movie, Jilla. This movie marked the collaboration between Vairamuthu and actor Vijay after 12 years. He has also been awarded the Padmadhri and Padmabhushan.

Na Muthukumar
This poet, lyricist and columnist has also won the National Award twice. One was for Thangameengal and the other for Saivam. His song Azhagu for the movie Saivam not only earned him a national awrad but also got the singer, Uthara Unnikrishnan a National award. A mega hit song, this might just be the third time he wins the award.

Yugabharathi
A soulful number, Yugabharathi gave life to Manasula Soora from the movie, Cuckoo. He had last won this award for the film, Kumki for the song, Sollitaley. Also well known for other songs like Kadhal Pisase from Run, Manmada Rasa from Thiruda Thirudi, Sambo Siva Sambo from Naadodigal and Konja Neram from the movie Chandramukhi.

Kabilan
A software engineer turned journalist, Kabilan is the lyricist for the song, Vinmeen Vithayil for the movie, Thegidi. The second son of Vairamuthu, we are wondering if the family is going to take away this award.
