Keerthy Suresh: Lesser known facts about the actress

Having made her acting debut in the Malayalam film ‘Geethanjali’, actress Keerthy Suresh has established a niche for herself not just in Tamil, but Telugu as well. Her latest release ‘Mahanati'/'Nadigaiyar Thilagam’ has opened to rave reviews and the actress has been appreciated for a very careful portrayal of the legendary actress Savitri on screen. With its Tamil version in theatres today, we give lesser-known facts about Keerthy Suresh.

This beautiful star has talents in many fields, one of them being swimming. Back in her childhood days, she was an avid swimmer and was actually a champion in her school. She underwent rigorous training in order to achieve this. Other than swimming, she was also super active in her school when it came to dramatics. No wonder she manages to stay so fit and graceful.

Believe it or not, Keerthy shares a connection with King Khan, albeit a rather remote one. Her elder sister Revathy Suresh used to work for Shah Rukh Khan’s production company, Red Chillies as a VFX specialist.

Keerthy has always been fascinated by the world of fashion. In fact, she did a course in fashion designing from the Pearl Academy in Chennai. She then went on to do a designing course in Scotland and an internship on the same in London. If it had not been for acting, she would have definitely started a career in fashion designing. She even designed her own outfit for an occasion. Keerthy is definitely the jack of all trades.

The actress is a self-confessed fan of actors Vijay and Suriya. In an interview, she disclosed that she has always been a very big fan of Ilayathalapathy Vijay since her childhood days. Now, her dream has come true as she starred opposite him in the film ‘Bairava’. Other than Vijay, she revealed that Suriya is also her industry favourite and guess what; she’s worked with him as well. Talk about a dream run!

Keerthy’s father Suresh Kumar is a well known Mollywood producer. As a result, she began her cine career as a child. As a child artist, she acted in three movies- ‘Pilots’, ‘Achaneyanenikkishtam’ and ‘Kuberan’ in early 2000. After a brief stint as a child, Keerthy stayed away from the silver screen until she finally made a debut as a heroine with ‘Geethaanjali’ in 2013.

Every actor and actress have one dream movie which they want to do in their lifetime. Keerthy too has one such movie in mind, and it’s a Bollywood one. Apparently, the ‘Mahanati’ actress’s dream movie is ‘Queen’ and she wants to play the role of Kangana Ranaut in it.

Other than conquering the field of cinema and fashion, Keerthy is also a really health conscious person. As a result, she sticks to a purely vegetarian diet. Not just that, she includes Yoga as part of her daily schedule. So a clean diet along with good exercise keeps her pretty as a picture.
