Tamil cinema has explored different genres and topics. From movies based on social issues to some controversial topics, the industry has always tried to deliver content that is significant. Vishwaroopam

Kamal Haasan had put a lot of effort into making 'Vishwaroopam'. The film dealt with the subject of global terrorism. Kamal Haasan played the lead role in his own directorial. He played the role of a secret agent of the Indian army who is posted to destroy a terrorist leader and their gang.

​'Roja'

Mani Ratnam's directorial features Aravind Swamy and Madhoo in lead roles, and the romantic drama, was also centered around terrorism, and how it impacts innocent lives. The film starts with a love story of Rishi (Arvind Swamy) and Roja (Madhoo), and later Rishi gets caught by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Then the romantic drama turns into a thriller, and the film mixed with patriotic elements will surely entertain you.

​'Unnaipol Oruvan'

Starring Kamal Haasan, the film told the story of a common man, who pretends to be terrorist, to wipe off the intruders. Kamal Haasan played the common man, who is assigned by the police officials and the film is the remake of the Hindi film 'A Wednesday!’. Mohanlal, Lakshmi, and Ganesh Venkatraman played important roles and the film received good responses.

​'Thuppakki'

Vijay played the role of army man for the first time in AR Murugadoss's directorial 'Thuppakki'. Vijay plyaed the role of a cop, who is on a secret mission to erase terrorists and destroy a plan they have made, which could costs hundreds of lives. Vijay's stylish and fiery avatar received a humongous response, and the film turned out as a box office blockbuster.

'F.I.R'

Vishnu Vishal has been impressive with his story selections, and his latest release 'F.I.R' is centered around terrorism. Vishnu Vishal played a Muslim youngster, who faces allegations and is portrayed as a most wanted criminal. Manu Anand has impressed the fans with his debut directorial as he handled the film well with seriousness and interest.
