Kollywood has released over 200 movies this year, which had 5 or more songs in each movie. Out of this almost thousands of songs, some were romantic, mass, emotional and item songs. Here are the few super hit songs of 2019.

Paisa note from Comali is a peppy number sung by Hiphop Tamizha with a unique energy level. The colourful and vivid visuals of the song made many to add it in their YouTube playlist. The catchy hook is one of its major attraction. Once you hear it, you will keep hearing it all day.

Gautham Vasudev Menon’s films are always studded with beautiful songs and Maruvarthai, sung by Sid Sriram, was a crown jewel. The song, composed by debutant music director Darbuka Siva, melted everyone with poignant lyrics from Thamarai. Despite the film's delayed release, the song felt fresh and many went to the theatre to watch the visuals of the song.

Kannaana Kanney, the melodious number sung by Sid Sriram and composed by D Imman, is about the deep emotion shared between a father and a daughter. Thamarai once again scored with lyrics and the song was celebrated by many families in the state and the visuals of the song were enhanced by the presence of Ajith as the father.

Verithanam is a definite leg-shaker. It was the first song sung by Thalapathy Vijay for AR Rahman. The peppy lyrics from lyricist Vivek, which built-up Thalapathy very well, ensured that it connected with the star's fans who made it a real Verithanam of 2019.

Tharame Tharame is a breezy track sung by Sid Sriram with music by Ghibran. The lyrics of the songs were written by Viveka and connected to many young couples. The song portrayed a lovely relationship between a husband and wife during pregnancy.

Kannama sung by Anirudh ruled the playlists of many youngsters. It is penned by Sam CS who also composed it. The youthfulness of Harish Kalyan with the voice of Anirudh made the song to be cherished by many.

Marana Mass is a thara local tribute to Thalaivar Rajinikanth by young gun Anirudh Ravichander. He made everyone reminisce the vintage mass of Rajini with legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam lending his voice (partly) to this song. Vivek's lyrics are quirky and add beauty to the heavy beats of Anirudh.

Single Pasanga is an energetic gana track with some heavyduty music by Hiphop Tamizha. sung by Gana Balachandar,Gana Ulagam Dharani and Arivu, who also penned it, the peppy track became a regular at parties and get-togethers.

AR Rahman gave a distinct international flavour to this track from Bigil and the powerful lines from lyricist Vivek made the listeners fall in love with the song in the first hearing itself. The song is dedicated to women and is sung by Rahman himself along with Shashaa Tirupati.

Yaen Ennai Pirindhal is yet another magical number this year from Sid Sriram. The mellifluous song was beautifully composed by Radhan. The song enthralled many youngsters as it felt like being caressed with a feather with the moving lyrics penned by Radhan himself.

Anbe Peranbe is a trademark melody from Yuvan Shankar Raja sung by star singers, Sid Sriram and Shreya Ghosal, with poignant lyrics by Uma Devi. Many appreciated the lyricist as the song deals with an extra-marital love in a mature manner.

This song, penned by Sivakarthikeyan, made many in the state to hum the jibberish 'Gummuru Taparru'. Sung by Anirudh Ravichandran and Neeti Mohan, it instantly attracted many kids. The music for the song is composed by D Imman in a way that you cannot help but dance to it.

Kathiri Poovazhagi is a beautiful track composed by GV Prakash Kumar which narrates a rural romance with fresh lyrics by K Ekadesi. The song is sung by Velmurugan, Rajalakshmi and Napolia.

The peppy Kamala Kalasa is composed by Vivek-Mervin and sung by Vivek himself along with Sanjana Kamalanje. The freaky lyrics, penned by Ku Karthik, attracted many. Vijay Sethupathi, who is not much known for his dancing skills, came up with quirky moves to uplift the tempo of the song with Raashi Khanna.
