Tamil Actresses who can ace a negative role

The role of an actress today has improved from just being a sidekick or romantic interest. Actresses have started to pull off the role of an antagonist which is as important as the lead role in the film. The storytelling has become interesting since the movies have an implemented idea of showing female lead in the negative role. Here is a list of Tamil actresses who can easily ace the role of an antagonist.

Reema Sen

Reema Sen was a former actress and the actress after her wedding in 2013 has stopped appearing in films. However, she has played negative roles in Vallavan and Aayirathil Oruvan. Reema Sen's acting was critically acclaimed in both the films and she set a bar for appearing as a villain. Though it has been quite a while, if the actress plans to make a comeback in the film industry, she can easily pull off the role as the antagonist.

Radhika Sarathkumar

The yesteryear actress has appeared in multiple roles as female lead, mother, sister and many pivotal roles. But, one hasn't seen her appear in a negative role. Radhika Sarathkumar vividly played a politician role in the film 'Saguni' and the actress tried to pull off a role of a loan shark and it suited her personality well. If Radhika Sarathkumar chooses to play the antagonist role, it will suit her perfectly.

Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Jeremiah is both an actress and play back singer. Andrea has played a negative role in the film Thuparivalan and she acted flawlessly in the movie. Andrea Jeremiah though looks very soft in nature because of her gentleness, the actress plays it perfectly when she is given a negative role as she adapts to the role well.

Nayanthara

Nayanthara is now one of the top actresses of India. The actress in recent times have appeared in strong roles which are women centric but there was a time when Nayanthara had a shade of her acting that matched a negative role. At the time when the Tamil film 'E' featuring Jeeva and Nayanthara was released, Nayanthara's acting and look gave us the feel of when the actress plays a negative role. Hopefully, Nayanthara explores the field where she can play an antagonist.
