Simbu to play the lead in Gokul’s Corona Kumar

Silambarasan TR has agreed to star in Corona Kumar, a spin-off of Gokul’s 2013 film Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara (Idhaaba), which had Vijay Sethupathi in the lead.
A source tells us, “Simbu has agreed to act in principle in Gokul’s film. This will be one of the two films that he is doing for Ishari Ganesh, with whom he has entered into a two-film deal (the other film is Gautham Menon’s Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan, which will go on floors in August).The actor is now in Kerala, undergoing Ayurvedic treatment to rejuvenate himself post the completion of Maanaadu. The makers will announce this project once Simbu returns to Chennai.”
