Santhanam turns a cop now

After signing a family comedy under the direction of newbie Sethuraman, Santhanam has now taken up another project, under the direction of KS Manikandan, with whom he teamed up earlier for Kannu Ladu Thinna Aasaiya. Titled Oodi Oodi Uzhaikanum, the film will be an action comedy which will have Santhanam essaying the role of a cop for the first time as a hero.Manikandan says, ���The project will go on floors on November 7. The film will be shot in and around Chennai, except for a song and a fight sequence, which will be shot abroad. Though Santhanam will be seen as a cop, the film will not be an out-and-out action flick; it will have lighter moments, too. Amyra Dastur, who plays the female lead in the movie, will play a journalist in it.��� Ghibran has been roped in to compose music for the film.
