Celebs throw a 'pawty' for their pets

Sometime ago, we had told you how celebrities are obsessed with their pets so much that they have a seperate social media page for their furry babies. While some show their love by capturing adorable videos and pictures of their pets on social media, few others went an extra mile to ring their pets' birthdays in a big way. Be it Samantha Akkineni celebrating Hash's birthday party or most recently Shivani Narayanan throwing a pet party for Diamond - pet parties seem to be a new fad. Let's take a look at some of the celebrities who threw a bash for their dogs...

Shraddha Kapoor

'Saaho' girl Shraddha Kapoor recently celebrated her pet dog Shyloh's 10th birthday before she headed to Maldives. She shared pictures and videos from the celebration on her social media. With balloons, party hats, cake, treats and more, Shyloh celebrated his 10th birthday around people he loves the most. Her post read, "Happy 10th birthday to my Babu! I can’t believe he is 10! To me he will always be my little babu Shyloh. He has brought so much joy to our lives. We are so blessed to have him as our sweetest family member. Grateful for him beyond words."

Samantha Akkineni

Samantha Akkineni loves her French Bulldog Hash and pampers him like crazy. She keeps putting up some cute pictures of him on her social media page. When he turned a year old, she threw a lavish party for Hash. Since it was before the pandemic, she invited a lot of guests and their pets for the bash. She even got a pet-friendly cake, modelled on Hash's face, a crown and lots of pet toys.

Anjali

Anjali welcomed her pet Polo a year ago and has been sharing some pawsome pictures with him often on social media. Last November, when he turned one, she had a small birthday celebration at home. She posted pictures from the party and said in her post that Polo is her dearest companion and love forever. She said, "Life has been crazy, colorful, emotional and blessed ever since you came into my life. You taught me unconditional love. The pitter patter of your paws when I come home, the stars in your big eyes when you look at me, the wet doggie kissy, your possessiveness whenever you bark - my precious, I love you to the moon and back my petite buddy. Wishing you the happiest first birthday."

Ramya Subramanian

Ramya Subramanian adores her dog, Hero, a German Shepherd. She welcomed Hero last year and has been spending a lot of time with him through the lockdown. And a couple of weeks ago, she rang in Hero's first birthday, by having a 'pawty' for him at a pet store. With limited invitees owing to the pandemic, Hero's bash was a star-studded one. "He is my everything. I wanted to celebrate my happiness and love and make him have fun because he gives me so much more of it unconditionally," she says.

Shivani Narayanan

'Bigg Boss Tamil 4' fame Shivani Narayanan loves her Shih Tzu Diamond to bits. She keeps posting pictures with her pet quite often and dotes on him. She even considers him to be a brother and posts such heart-melting pictures of him as well. In February, Diamond turned one and she celebrated his birthday by having a small bash at home. Some of her Bigg Boss friends, too, attended the party that was filled with pet games.

Ma Ka Pa Anand

Television anchor and actor Ma Ka Pa Anand has six dogs. A couple of weeks ago, he celebrated his dog Oreo's birthday in his terrace with his family. He says, "I have six dogs. Oreo and Channel are parents to four pups, three female and one male. They are my family. Every year, we remember their birthdays and cut a cake for them. Oreo, especially, doesn't like anyone clapping. He gets angry and bark if we clap. We buy them squishy toys for their birthdays and treats. But more than any other gift, they like to chew on my shoes and slippers (laughs)."

Pavithralakshmi

'Cooku With Comaali' fame Pavithralakshmi is a pet lover and that is evident from the post she shares on her social media. She keeps sharing snippets of her routine with her pet dogs regularly. Most recently, Pavithra celebrated her pet Coco's first birthday in a grand manner. Going by the pictures, pink was the theme of the party, with Coco dressed up in pink. We also saw pictures of many other pets being invited to this cute 'pawty'.
