An actor’s true test is when he manages to show versatility. While some get caught up into stereotypical roles, some win hearts with their variations in performances. These are the very actors who are also capable of giving back to back hits, making them superstars. These variations are from physical to the kind of personality the character shows. There are also shades to a character which are beautifully portrayed by some talented actors. We will look at five Kollywood stars from Rajinikanth to Sivakarthikeyan who displayed great comic timings in films and gave tough competition to some of the ace comedians in the industry.

​Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth started his career playing supporting roles and then shifted to doing lead roles. The stylish star won the hearts of the audience with his various characters in different genres of movies. Rajinikanth has slayed comic roles and his film 'Chandramukhi' is proof. The horror-comedy which was directed by P Vasu was well appreciated, and it became a blockbuster hit at the box office. Rajnikanth and Vadivelu's comic scenes were most enjoyed by the audience.

Kamal Haasan scores with his natural acting and his films 'Michael Madana Kama Rajan', 'Panchathanthiram', 'Pammal K. Sambandam', and 'Avvai Shanmugi' were loved by his fans for their comic elements. Also, Kamal Haasan has a fabulous rapport with his co-stars which translates on-screen.

Sathyaraj earned a place in the industry with his unique acting, and fans have always been in awe of his style. Sathyaraj has shared screen space with many comedians like Goundamani, Vadivelu, Manivannan, and others. But every time, he has dominated them when it comes to jokes with his casual sense of humour. Sathyaraj has earned a great fan following for his acting, and is a rage among fans even today.

Vijay

Vijay is fondly called Thalapathy by his fans and his films have always done well at the box office. Vijay is well known for his commercial and romantic films, and he developed as a top star in the industry owing to that. But Vijay is also good at his comedies with supporting stars, and he has proven that many times in the past. Vijay and Vadivelu’s comic scenes in the films 'Sachien', 'Kavalan', 'Pokkiri' and others have left the audience in splits, and their combination on the big screen has a separate fan base.

​Sivakarthikeyan

Sivakarthikeyan first marked himself among the audience through television, and his parodies on television made him more popular. Sivakarthikeyan then made his entry into cinema and gave a few comedy-dramas. Sivakarthikeyan then shifted to big-scale films, and his films went on to do high numbers at the box office. The actor is known to easily perform impromptu for comic acts and has made many laugh till now.
