Known as the national crush, actress Rashmika Mandanna is celebrating her birthday today, April 5. She started her acting career in the Kannada film industry and then later made her debut in Telugu and Tamil films. She was last seen in the pan India Telugu release ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ along with Allu Arjun. She is now one of the top actresses in South India. Rashmika will soon be making her Bollywood debut as well with the film ‘Mission Majnu’ playing along with Siddharth Malhotra.

‘Master’ directed by Lokesh Kangaraj featured Vijay as the lead. The film was released in 2021. Rashmika rejected ‘Master’ as she reportedly had a jam-packed schedule. Later, Malavika Mohanan played the female lead role in the movie. Rashmika – Vijay is one pair that fans would have loved to watch on the screen.

‘Jersey’ is a Hindi film that features Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. It was a remake of the Telugu film. Rashmika reportedly in an interview revealed that she was not able to accept the film as she had to give in a lot for the film and at that point of time ‘Jersey’ remake was huge and that she did not want to work as she did not want to be tired at the set because of her work schedule. She added that the movie makers deserved more. Later Mrunal Thakur played the role instead of Rashmika Mandanna.

Rashmika’s debut in Kannada was with the film ‘Kirik Party’. It is now being remade into Hindi featuring Kartik Aaryan. Rashmika reportedly did not accept to play the role in Hindi and stated that she has already done the role and will not have anything new to offer to the role. She reportedly added in an interview that she wanted to do new stories and characters.

Earlier it was reported that Rashmika Mandanna was approached by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a movie, but later the project was dropped due to unknown reasons. It was also reported that the film had planned for Randeep Hooda to play as the male lead.

Rashmika was approached for the upcoming film ‘RC 15’ directed by Shankar featuring Ram Charan. According to reports, the role was later offered to Kiara Advani. The film is a political drama and this is Shankar’s first direction in Telugu.
