Love in the time of Chennai floods

Aadhav Kannadasan’s love story is as filmi as it gets. The actor, who is all set to tie the knot with business developer Vinodhnie Suresh on December 6, met her during the 2015 Chennai floods and got the consent of their parents the following December.
“We met through a common friend; both of us were involved in flood relief activities. Later, we began chatting and eventually realised that we were in love.We were sure about taking this forward only after getting the consent of our families. We met each other’s parents in December 2016. Though they weren’t initially convinced, they agreed soon. And now, this December, we are getting married. I guess ours is a December love story,” he says with a laugh.
So, is she OK with his acting career? “We did speak about this in length and I gave her a brief about how things work in the industry. I wanted to get married only a few years later... after doing a lot more films. But once I met her, things changed. She understood my passion. It is great to have an understanding partner, especially when you are in a field like cinema,” he says. Aadhav, who has two films in his kitty, is planning to take up more projects after the wedding. “I play a negative role in one film; the other one is a rural subject. An announcement on them will be made soon,” he signs off.
