It’s official! Pooja Hedge joins Suriya’s next with Karthik Subbaraj

The makers of Suriya’s 44th film tentatively titled #Suriya44 have put an end to all the speculations and announced the leading lady, who is none other than Pooja Hegde. Director Karthik Subbaraj has confirmed the same and welcomed Pooja on board for the film.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the director wrote, “Delighted to welcome @hegdepooja for #Suriya44. Welcome onboard #PoojaHegde #LoveLaughterWar #AKarthikSubbarajPadam.”

Pooja Hegde was delighted to join the team and said, “A special one for the books .”

The makers also dropped a special poster.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, ‘Suriya 44’ comes with the tagline ‘Love, laughter, war’. The film has Shreyaas Krishna as the cinematographer. The music will be done by Santhosh Narayanan.

Meanwhile, Suriya is currently waiting for the release of his next with Siva titled ‘Kanguva’. Starring Suriya, the upcoming film has an ensemble cast that includes Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, both making their debut in Tamil cinema. The film also has Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, K. S. Ravikumar and B. S. Avinash.


On the other hand, Suriya has also signed films with Sudha Kongara, and Vetrimaaran. Pooja was recently filming for ‘Deva’ with Shahid Kapoor. The film is helmed by Rosshan Andrrews.
