After doing some light-hearted role as a college student in the romantic drama 'Jayam', Jayam Ravi turned as a kickboxer in 'M Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi'. 'Unakkum Enakkum' was Jayam Ravi's third union with his brother and director Mohan Raja. The film is a remake of the Telugu film 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana', Jayam Ravi replaced Siddharth in the remake version, while Trisha played as the female lead in both.
