Gautham Menon made his debut directorial with Madhavan's 'Minnale', and delivered a super hit film. The talented director then delivered a blockbuster cop drama 'Kaakha Kaakha' with Suriya. The film opened the gates for him in the industry, and he teamed with his favourite star Kamal Haasan for the cop drama 'Vettaiyadu Vilaiyaadu'. Pa Ranjith's debut directorial 'Attakathi' was a sleeper hit, and the film was critically acclaimed.
