Rajinikanth:
Superstar Rajinikanth’s presence is itself a major reason to watch 2.0. The veteran actor is said to be playing different roles in the film. In addition to scientist Vaseegaran and the loveable robot Chitti, the Superstar will also be seen as a reloaded 2.0 (the baddie in the first film), and also as a dwarf and a giant!
Shankar and Rahman
Shankar’s last film ‘I’ released in 2015 and people are eager to watch the brilliance of the filmmaker in 2.0. Shankar has roped in some of the best technicians for this film to match the standard of Hollywood filmmaking. Oscar award winner AR Rahman has composed music for the film, which makes the film much more interesting.
Akshay Kumar debuts in Tamil
The Bollywood superstar, who has the reputation of doing films in different genres, will be making his Kollywood debut with 2.0. Akshay Kumar is playing the antagonist in the film, a role which was initially meant to be played by Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger.
3D visuals, 4D sound and VFX
2.0 has been entirely shot in 3D, which is and added USP for the film. Director Shankar has stressed a lot about the technology used in the film, including 4D sound, and how it would be a totally different sci-fi film from the ones we have watched so far. The VFX has been done by studios that routinely work on Hollywood films.
India's costliest film
The film's budget is said to be Rs 543 crores, making it the most expensive film ever to have been made in India. Shankar has reportedly spent this amount to make the film as grand as possible and the sheer spectacle of it alone makes 2.0 a film that should be watched on the big screen.
