The journey

“I love to express myself through my writing and thus, I used to pen down my thoughts in the form of poems as a young schoolboy. Later, I became fascinated with how songs can be crafted around my words, and thus, the musician Karun was born. I began this new journey by making his first ever track with his school junior Udbhav aka Nanku, who has been a constant companion ever since.”

The story behind Karun’s ‘Chaand’

“The moon is a pleasant sight to the eyes even in the darkest of times, and it reminded me of my significant other, as I stepped out of his studio one night. I had not seen her for many days and that distance between me and her other made me make this track that we are listening to today called ‘Chaand’. I have always been true to my writing. Everything I talk about in my music is based on the real-life experiences that I have personally gone through.”

An encounter with Yo Yo Honey Singh

“Meeting Honey Singh was very unplanned as we were in Dehradun when Udbhav got a call from him. He asked him to come to the studio to meet him, and he told me to come along. The moment we met him was surreal, and I was unable to say much more than how big of a fan I was and how much impact his music has had on the industry.”

Something that people don’t know about Honey Singh

“What people don't know about Honey Singh is that he is very humble and is a very loving person towards the people he cares about. He is very hardworking and never quits. He is truly brilliant at what he does and his ambition to keep achieving more and more is an inspiration to us all.”
