The idea behind ‘Nishu’

“Nishu is my nickname. Everyone who has been around me since my childhood knows it. The idea behind this concept was the familiarise Nishu with my audience. See basically everyone knows “Ikka” the artist but the man behind Ikka is a common boy who worked hard and achieved his dreams. I want everyone to know who is Nishu and the ups and downs through which Nishu evolved as Ikka.”

Collaboration with Badshah, Raftaar, Seedhe Maut, Aghor, Dope Dod, Rawal, and Raga

“Every artist I have collaborated with is indeed the great we have in the music industry. It was all about clicking and visualizing the right features on my tracks Definitely, all the tracks were very carefully conceptualized and shared with these greats before delivering it to my listeners.”

Working with Badshah and Raftaar for ‘Trap Munde’ and ‘Top Off’ respectively

“Both are my brothers and this is one of the most awaited collaborations. I’ve collaborated with Raftaar in my previous album but Badshah bhai’s collaboration was much awaited. There was a lot of thought process and careful evaluations were made before getting them (Badshah and Raftaar) on board on their respective tracks.”

Film track vs independent music

“Both have their own benefits I would say Bollywood and independent music both are versatile and help me present my art in various forms. However, hip hop is my love and helps me express my vision and mindset more freely”
