Maujaan Hi Maujaan: 5 things that impressed us in the trailer

The trailer of 'Maujaan Hi Maujaan' gives a peek into the world of Punjabi comedy, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating the film's release. Five standout elements truly impressed us in this uproarious sneak peek. Firstly, the concept of blind, deaf, and mute comedy. Secondly, it is the performance of each star; followed by the music that is too enticing to miss. Further, the writing of Naresh Kathooria in this Smeep Kang directorial is a delight, and last but not least, the situational comedy creates a special place for itself in the hearts of the audience.

The concept

In the realm of filmmaking, where storytelling is predominantly reliant on dialogue, visuals, and auditory cues, a movie that dares to subvert these conventions is a rare and extraordinary gem. 'Maujaan Hi Maujaan' is precisely that – an awe-inspiring cinematic triumph that takes audiences on an unforgettable journey through its three remarkable lead characters: deaf, mute, and blind. It is interesting to see how these three support each other and complete each other's shortcomings.

3/6

The performances

Bankrolled by East Shine Productions, the movie boasts an ensemble cast of some really talents stars, and each one of them is a master in his craft. For instance, let's begin with Binnu Dhillon. We have already seen Binnu Dhillon playing a blind character in 'Vadhaiyan Ji Vadhaiyan.' However, in this film, we will see him exploring more in the respective genre. Then comes Gippy Grewal and Karamjit Anmol playing deaf and mute respectively. Both actors are known for their versatility and amazing comic timing, and that is precisely what will keep everyone engaged. Talking of comic timing, there is BN Sharma, whose acting prowess can't be described in words. Last but not least, Yograj Singh will be seen in a very intimidating role, and this shade suits him the best.

4/6

A glimpse of the music

Music in film is not merely a background score; it is the heartbeat that infuses life into cinematic storytelling. Its importance lies in its unparalleled ability to evoke emotions, set the mood, and amplify the narrative's impact. The trailer of 'Maujaan Hi Maujaan' gave us a taste of the musical treat that the movie has to offer. And all the songs appear too good to miss.

5/6

The dialogues

Naresh Kathooria, the maestro of Punjabi dialogue, weaves pure comedic gold in 'Maujaan Hi Maujaan.' The trailer only gives us a glimpse of his wit and humor that will surely leave audiences in splits. Kathooria's genius in this cinematic piece hints at a laugh riot worth celebrating.

6/6

Situational comedy

'Maujaan Hi Maujaan,' which is slated to release on October 20 derives its strength from the mastery of situational comedy. In this film, the humor isn't confined to punchlines but is seamlessly interwoven with the narrative, making every scene a comedic delight. Naresh Kathooria's brilliant writing ensures that the characters find themselves in hilariously absurd situations. Further, it is their reactions and interactions that generate the laughter.
