'Timepass'

'Timepass' directed by Ravi Jadhav was a box-office hit. The film boasted of a right mix of comedy, fantasy and romance. It starred Prathamesh Parab, Ketaki Mategaonkar and Vaibhav Mangle as leads. The story revolves around a mischievous teen, who wants to teach a lesson to a man by making his daughter his girlfriend. Whilst still discovering whether it is just a fling or love, the boy and girl fall head over heels for each other. This movie is out an out entertainer and will touch your hearts for sure.

'Sairat'

Nagraj Manjule directed romantic drama 'Sairat' was a blockbuster in the Marathi film industry. It marked the acting debut of Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar. The story is about how a fisherman's son and a local politician's daughter fall in love and what consequences they face while holding on to each other. As the fusion of caste is not appreciated in rural Maharashtra, the love story is completely opposed by the society. Despite the opposition, how the protagonists fight for their love, is worth the watch.

'Shala'

'Shala' directed by Sujay Dahake starred Anshuman Joshi, Ketaki Mategaonkar and Dilip Prabhavalkar. The movie brings out the reality of first love at a tender age. This is a very beautiful movie about the love between two schoolmates Joshi & Shirodkar. As we all know stories about budding love are always pleasant to watch, this movie falls into the same category. 'Shala', will make you want to go back in your past and relive sweet memories.

'Ti Saddhya Kay Karte'

'Ti Saddhya Kay Karte', directed by Satish Rajwade starred Ankush Chaudhari, Tejashree Pradhan, Abhinay Berde and Aarya Ambekar. This movie, based on college romance, will take you on a nostalgic trip back to your college days. The other add-on is the music and the songs that will leave you mesmerised. The story sees Anurag wondering about his first love Tanvi, whom he hasn't seen in years. Will their love be rekindled when they reconnect after a long time?

'Premachi Goshta'

The title of the film gives a clear idea about the film. Satish Rajwade's 'Premachi Goshta' is a romantic flick that starred Sagarika Ghatge, Rohini Hattangadi and Atul Kulkarni. The film marked the debut of Sagarika in Marathi cinema. 'Premachi Goshta' follows the story of two strangers, Ram and Sonal. It's about how Sonal falls for Ram and how he responds to it. If you are an emotional person and like the idea of romance, this movie should definitely be on your list of movies to watch.

Satish Rajwade directorial hit 'Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai', which starred Mukta Barve and Swwapnil Joshi was remade in Hindi as 'Mumbai Delhi Mumbai' in 2014, featuring Shiv Pandit and Pia Bajpai. It was directed by Satish Rajwade who also helmed the original film. The movie starred Mukta Barve and Swwapnil Joshi in the lead and tugged at the heartstrings right after the release.

'Duniyadari'

Sanjay Jadhav directorial 'Duniyadari' has been acclaimed by Marathi audience. It starred Swwapnil Joshi, Ankush Choudhary, Urmila Kanitkar, Sai Tamhankar, Jitendra Joshi, Sushant Shelar. The story focussed on how friendship doesn’t see the ways of the world and nor does it follow any set rules. It follows the heart and 'Duniyadari' is all about the journey of the heart – which can be arduous, but almost always fulfilling.
