Mrinmayee Godbole for 'Chi Va Chi Sau Ka'

Mrinmayee Godbole is not just a popular face in the Marathi film industry but is also known for her contribution to Bollywood films. The actress has impressed her audience with her stunning performances through the years, but it is her role in 'Chi Va Chi Sau Ka' that won her a nomination in the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. The Paresh Mokashi's directorial 'Chi Va Chi Sau Ka' is a love story of two strangers, Savitri aka Savi (Mrinmayee Godbole) and Satyaprakash aka Satya (Lalit Prabhakar) who have certain lifestyle quirks that the other finds weird. Mrinmayee's act won a lot of appreciation apart from her chemistry with Paresh, which was vital for her character.

Mukta Barve for 'Hrudayantar'

Mukta Barve has come a long way in the Marathi film industry since making her debut in ‘Chakwa’ to starring as Samaira in ‘Hrudayantar’, co-starring Subodh Bhave. Her brilliant performance in the film has won her a nomination in the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. 'Hrudayantar' that marked fashion designer Vikram Phadnis' directorial debut, revolves around a married couple trying to make ends meet as their only daughter battles cancer.

Pooja Sawant for 'Lapachhapi'

Pooja Sawant has always impressed fans with her acting skills and has also bagged several awards for her performances. Her role in the horror film 'Lapachhapi' earned her a nomination in the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. The film is regarded as one of the best Marathi horror films till date. The story follows an eight months pregnant woman and her husband seeking shelter at a lone hose in the middle of a sugarcane field that is ridden with secrets of the past that pose as a threat to the mother and her unborn child.

Priya Bapat for 'Gachchi'

Priya Bapat is one of the most glamorous actresses in the Marathi film industry. She has successfully won the hearts of the audience with her extraordinary performances. The star who started off as a child artist in the National Award winning Bollywood film 'Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar' and went on to feature in the critically acclaimed Nachiket Samant directorial 'Gachchi', has been nominated for a Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) award at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. The film directed by Nachiket Samant features Abhay Mahajan as Shriram and Priya Bapat as Keerti in the lead roles. The film unfolds on the terrace of a building, by bringing together two starkly different persons and putting them in a situation they can only escape with each other’s help. Keerti was lauded for her performance as a famous singer, haunted by problems that refuse to leave her.

Her role in the Marathi film 'Hampi', earned her a nomination for the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. Prakash Kunte’s film ‘Hampi’ is an extraordinary story about love and the meaning of life. It is a story of a young girl who travels to Hampi to raise her spirits and meets people who make her understand the importance of life and in turns helps her find the answers to a lot of troubling questions in her life.

Sonali Kulkarni for 'Kaccha Limbu'

Sonali Kulkarni has Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi, and Tamil films to her name. He critically acclaimed Marathi film 'Kaccha Limbu' has won her a nomination in the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. Directed by Prasad Oak, 'Kaccha Limbu' is based on Jaywant Dalvi’s novel Runanubandh. It's plot follows the life of a couple—Mohan (Ravi Jadhav) and Shaila Katdare (Sonali Kulkarni)—with a special child called Bachchu (Manmeet Pem). The film specifically looks at the challenges thrown at them when their son hits puberty and his hormones kick in with an unforeseen ferocity.
