Nana Patekar in the role of a cop

As Senior Inspector Maruti Nagargoje, Nana has already generated a lot of buzz through the trailer. His casual yet dedicated style of working as the investigative officer is sure to earn appreciation. If nothing else, people will flock to watch the veteran actor in this hatke role.

Irawati Harshe and Sumeet Raghavan together onscreen for the first time

In their individual capacity, Sumeet and Irawati have some fantastic work portfolio. But this will be the first time that the two will be paired opposite each other in a film. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out for them.

This is Ajay Devgn’s first Marathi film as a producer

From his first film as a producer, Raju Chacha, to Shivaay in 2016, Ajay Devgn’s production house has released 16 films till date and three more are in the pipeline. Of this, Aapla Manus is one, which is his only Marathi film so far. Ajay and Nana have previously collaborated as co-artistes in films like Apaharan and the recent Golmaal Again.

The film is based on a much-loved play

Aapla Manus is based on Katkon Trikon, which handles generation gap in a novel way. The play documents the happenings in the life of a small family comprising Rahul, a lawyer, his father Aba and Rahul’s wife Bhakti, a maths teacher. It would be exciting to see how director Satish Rajwade has adapted the play for the big screen.
