Not doing Visaranai remake with Akshay: Priyadarshan

Rumours were rife that the next Priyadarshan-Akshay Kumar film will be the remake of the critically-acclaimed Tamil movie Visaranai, which dealt with police brutality and corruption.
The director clears the air by telling us, “It’s all false news. My next is not Visaranai remake. It’s a comedy that will be produced by Rohit Shetty.”
Priyadarshan is currently working on his Mollywood venture Oppam, which has Mohanlal playing a blind man who is on the run from law.The director and Akshay Kumar had worked together in several superhits in Bollywood including Hera Pheri, Garam Masala and Bhool Bhullaiyya.
