Dulquer Salmaan's path to stardom

Dulquer Salmaan announced his arrival in Mollywood with a dignified identity, that of Mammootty's son. But, with his first movie 'Second Show' itself Dulquer proved that he can stand firm in this industry without his father's identity. Such was his transformation as an actor and with every movie, Dulquer ascended on his calibre and range as an actor. He is now preparing for his reign over Bollywood.
2/5

Heartthrob for youngsters

Within no time Dulquer became the heartthrob among youngsters with his dashing style and charismatic persona. His character Jones in the movie American Born Confused Desi (ABCD) was an unbelievable change from the gangster character in his first movie 'Second Show'. He pulled off a carefree rich brat character in 'ABCD' that showed his flexibility as an actor.
3/5

Standout performances

Dulquer's performance in films like 'Ustaad Hotel', 'Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi' and 'Bangalore Days' established him as a young superstar in the industry. With the release of 'Charlie' in the year 2014, Dulquer grew further in the hearts of people for his vagabond character. The movie won him the best actor award at the Kerala State Film awards in 2016.
4/5

Always experimenting

Dulquer never allowed himself to get typified as an actor as he continued to select his characters intelligently and didn't hesitate to do character oriented roles in movies like 'Parava' and 'Kammattipadam'. His portrayal as a romantic hero in movies like 'OK Kanmani' and '100 Days of Love', both paired along with Nithya Menen, got immense praise for the pair's on-screen chemistry.
5/5

Moving to Bollywood

Making a space for himself in Mollywood with his style and performance, Dulquer is roped in as the brand ambassador of many acclaimed brands. The actor, who has already shot for his debut in Bollywood with the versatile Irrfan Khan in the movie 'Karwan', is all set for his second Bollywood movie 'The Zoya Factor', paired along with Sonam Kapoor.
