#Whatif ‘Pulp Fiction’ was made in Mollywood

Welcome my travel buddies. American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino's famous quote goes like this, "I steal from every movie ever made", and today we are going to do exactly the same as we will be exploring one of his films, ‘Pulp Fiction’ and check out the possibilities of the film being remade in Mollywood. Over to Simon.

#Simon Says, “Guys, today we will be entering the realm of one of the craziest films of the mastermind, Quentin Tarantino. Pass me the tickets and get some cotton pads for covering your ears as we will be hearing several insane dialogues on our journey today. Tighten your seat belts as ETimes presents the 34rth episode of #Whatif ‘Pulp Fiction’ was made in Mollywood.”

Possibility 1: Vincent Vega as Prithviraj Sukumaran

#Simon Says, “Let's take Prithviraj Sukumaran’s stylish character from the movie ‘Double Barrel’ and copy-paste him onto the Malayalam remake of ‘Pulp Fiction’ to play the character Vincent Vega. Perfect isn’t it?. With Prithviraj’s stylish look and acting skills, he could perfectly reprise the role played by the American actor John Travolta in the remake.”

Possibility 2: Jules Winnfield as Indrajith Sukumaran

#Simon Says, “Vincent Vega’s buddy and partner in crime Jules Winnfield has a very intense and violent behavior that could send chills down the spine of a viewer. Now imagine, a more rude and violent Indrajith Sukumaran’s character in ‘Double Barrel’ playing the role of Jules Winnfield. It would be also a treat for the audience to watch both Prithviraj Sukumaran and Indrajith Sukumaran sharing the screen as perfect buddies.”

Possibility 3: Famous dancing scene

#Simon Says, “The dancing scene between the actors Uma Thurman and John Travolta’s character is one of the iconic scenes in ‘Pulp Fiction’. Coming to the Malayalam version, let's pump up the scene a little bit by adding Jassie Gift’s song ‘Lajjavathiye’ in the background and make the characters do some fast moves. The fast number could also add up to the commercial value of the Mollywood remake of ‘Pulp Fiction’.”

Possibility 4: Mia Wallace as Shobana

#Simon Says, "Mia Wallace is the central female character in ‘Pulp Fiction’ who actually drives the story forward. Actor Uma Thurman has indeed given a stunning performance as the character Mia Wallace and in the Mollywood remake, who else is perfect other than the versatile actress Shobana to reprise the role.”

Possibility 5: No more profanity

#Simon Says, “As we all know, the director Quentin Tarantino sure does love to write profanity in his films. ‘Pulp Fiction’ has a record number of 265 curse words which is a big no for our family audience unless the Mollywood remake is an OTT release. In the Malayalam remake of ‘Pulp Fiction’ let's make it more family friendly by reducing the number of curse words and gore scenes in it.”

#Simon Says, “So we have traveled the realm of the Hollywood classic ‘Pulp Fiction’ and have indeed made a more family-friendly Mollywood remake of the movie with fewer curse words and violent scenes. Hoping that the audience would love the Mollywood remake of Quentin Tarantino’s film, let's wind up our today’s journey. See you all next week with yet another interesting episode of #Whatif. Till then bye.”
