After a year of anticipation, Shaji N Karun's 'Olu' finally hit the screens on September 20. A mixture of reality and fantasy, 'Olu' featured Shane Nigam and Esther Anil in the lead. Shane Nigam essays the role of a painter in the film and Esther plays Maya, a gypsy girl, who was raped by a group of men. The pregnant girl is submerged in the remains of a Buddhist monastery and lives for 10 full moons. She can see the world only during a full moon. The movie showcases the platonic love between this Rajasthani gypsy girl and the painter. The story progresses as she asks the young artist to draw her dream!
