Unni Mukundan to team up with Jayaraj for ‘Kadhikan’

The month of June has a comparatively less number of movie releases from the Malayalam film industry. On the other hand, the Tamil and Bollywood film industry is locking horns with their biggie releases with star casts on their crew card such as Kamal Haasan and Akshay Kumar. Here let's take a look at the highly anticipated movies that are releasing in June.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s team up with Kamal Hassan has set a high level of anticipation among the audience, without considering the fact that his previously released Vijay starrer ‘Master’ opened to mixed responses. ‘Vikram’, which is all set to release on June 3rd, is led by a series of talented actors that includes the Malayalam casts such as Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Chemban Vinod Jose, Antony Varghese, and Hareesh Peradi.

Based on the true story and real-life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, ‘Major’ is all set to release on June 3rd. The Adivi Sesh starrer is filmed simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi languages and is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka under the script penned down by Adivi Sesh himself. The film also has the actors Revathi, Murali Sharma, Prakash Raj, and Sobhita Dhulipala in pivotal roles.

The Nivin Pauly starrer ‘Thuramukham’ is the only biggie that is coming out from the Malayalam film industry in June. The film which is directed by the ‘Kammatti Paadam’ fame Rajeev Ravi is all set to release on June 10 and the trailer promises to offer a shocking and compelling story of labors who were facing mishaps due to the infamous ‘Chappa’ system which was prevailing in Mattancherry harbor, Kochi during the 1940s and 50s. Apart from Nivin Pauly, ‘Thuramukham’ also features the actors Indrajith Sukumaran, Joju Geoge, Sudev Nair, and Arjun Ashokan in significant roles.

Jayasurya will be teaming up with the director Nadirshah after the comedy entertainer ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ for the riveting suspense thriller named ‘Eesho’. After a series of controversies regarding the title of the film, the makers decided to stream the film via an OTT platform. As per the reports, ‘Eesho’ will hit the home screens in the month of June.

Akshay Kumar’s Bollywood action drama film ‘Prithviraj’ is all set to hit the big screens on June 3rd. The film is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and the story sees the heroism of the mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan as he locks horns with his foe Muhammad of Ghor.
