While on the one hand when Prithviraj Sukumaran announced being a part of the upcoming Bollywood film 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', Swasika Vijay made controversial statements via her interview, and Bala accused Unni Mukundan of not paying him the remuneration for their film ‘Shefeekkinte Santhosham’. ​Swasika Vijay’s controversial statements on #MeToo and WCC

‘Chathuram’ actress Swasika Vijay landed into controversy for her latest statements on #MeToo, Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), and safety in the workplace (entertainment industry). In a recent interview with an online channel, Swasika stated that in the industry no one would be forcefully raped, and she also stated that she feels there is no need for the WCC. The actress also said she doesn’t get the logic in people saying #MeToo four years after being subjected to an indecent experience.

​Prithviraj Sukumaran in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'

Prithviraj Sukumaran has bagged a role in the upcoming Hindi film 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles. He has roped in to play the role of Kabir, the antagonist in the film. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zaffar and the makers gave a warm welcome to Prithviraj Sukumaran.

​Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju gets hitched

Veteran actor-producer Maniyanpillai Raju’s son and actor Niranj got hitched to Niranjana in an intimate ceremony held at Paliam Palace on December 8. Niranjana is a fashion designer by profession, and also a member of the Paliam royal family. Celebrities including Mammootty and Jayaram marked their presence at the wedding, and showered blessings to the newlywed couple.

​Lawrence Galbert is no more

Filmmaker Lawrence Galbert breathed his last on December 8, 2022. He is best known for directing ‘Naadham’ which was released in 1983. Lawrence Galbert, has assisted iconic filmmaker John Abraham, and has also worked as an art director for films.

​Bala-Unni Mukundan tiff

Actor Bala recently alleged that he wasn’t paid his remuneration for the film ‘Shefeekkinte Santhosham’, which was produced by Unni Mukundan. Bala also accused none of the technicians were paid their salaries. A day later, Unni Mukundan refuted the allegations and confirmed that Rs 2 lakh was given to Bala for a 20-day call sheet, and also shared the money transaction statements of the same.
