Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vinayakan begin shoot for ‘Thekku Vadakku’

Actors Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vinayakan are joining hands for an upcoming film titled ‘Thekku Vadakku’. The film is directed by Prem Sankar, who has earlier delivered the acclaimed ‘Ranud Peru’, starring Basil Paulose and Shanti Balachandran. ‘Thekku Vadakku’ went on floors on Saturday, April 6. The team kickstarted the shoot in Muttikulangara, a suburb of Palakkad city, in Kerala.

The screenplay of the film is written by S Hareesh, who has previously scripted for Lijo Jose Pellissery’s acclaimed films ‘Jallikattu’, ‘Churuli’, and ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’. ‘Thekku Vadakku’ is based on ‘Rathri Kaaval (Night Watch)’, a story from the short story collection ‘Adam’.

Suraj Venjaramoodu is essaying the role of Shankunni, and Vinayakan will be playing the role of Madhavan in the upcoming film. The union of National award winning Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kerala State film award winner Vinayakan with S Hareesh and Prem Sankar itself is the USP of the upcoming film. The cast of the film includes Melvin Babu, Shameer Khan, Kottayam Ramesh, Merin Jose, Vineeth Vishwam, Balan Palakkal, and, James Parakkal.


On the technical front, Suresh Rajan is in charge of the cinematography. The music will be done by Sam CS. The lyrics will be penned by Lakshmi Shrikumar. The dance will be choreographed by Prasanna Sujith. Mafia Sasi is in charge of the action direction. The costumes are designed by Aisha Safeer. Amal Chandra is the makeupman.
