Allu Arjun's recent visit to Nandyal sparked controversy as it occurred during local elections, leading to accusations of violating the Model Code of Conduct. Subsequently, a case was filed against him, alleging his involvement in a large public gathering without proper permission, further complicated by the enforcement of Section 144 during the polls. In response, Allu Arjun released a public statement emphasizing his political neutrality. In other news, Malayalam film producer Johnny Sagarika has been arrested in a cheating case filed by Dwarak Udayakumar of Coimbatore. It is alleged that Johnny deceived Udayakumar for Rs 2.75 crore under the guise of producing a film. Johnny was apprehended by the Coimbatore police at Nedumbassery Airport yesterday.

A road accident involving the family of young actor Mathew Thomas occurred on May 15 morning. According to reports, the accident took place around 1 a.m. when the jeep they were traveling in overturned and fell into a gutter on the national highway in Sasthamugal, which is currently under construction.

In the Kannada film industry, actor Chetan Chandra was reportedly attacked by a mob of over 20 men in Kaggalipura, near Kanakapura, on Sunday night. In a video statement, the actor explained that he was returning to his home in Bengaluru after a temple visit when the incident occurred.
