Dilip Kumar passed away today (July 7) at the age of 98. He was admitted to Mumbai's PD Hinduja Hospital on June 30 after he complained of breathlessness. The legend breathed his last on Wednesday morning. The 'Mughal-e-Azam' actor had been in and out of hospitals in the last one month and the family was hoping he would get better.

Manju Warrier, Suresh Gopi have taken to their respective social media platforms to express their grief over the legend’s demise.
“Dilip Kumarji was the doyen of Indian Cinema and will forever be remembered. Condolences to his family and friends. May the legend's soul rest in eternal peace,” Mohanlal said, mourning the legendary actor’s demise.
Suresh Gopi expressed condolences to the late actor’s family and also recalled an incident of meeting him. “Tributes to Dilip Kumar, the immortal talent, who made his own mark in Hindi cinema,” Suresh Gopi penned.
In 1989 when Suresh Gopi was shooting for his movie ‘Orukkam’ on the beach near Dilip Kumar’s residence, he met the legendary actor and his wife Saira Banu. “I still remember touching their feet and receiving the blessing from them. A great family man... A great actor… Pranams #DilipKumar,” Suresh Gopi added.
Manju Warrier too paid tributes to the late actor.

Filmmaker Priyadarshan shared a picture he had taken with late Dilip Kumar and penned, “Let the great soul rest in peace. Dilip Kumarji Pranams.”
Actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran expressed grief. “Rest in peace #DilipKumar Sir! #Legend,” he tweeted.
FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) Director’s Union too mourned the demise of the legend.

Meanwhile, Dilip Kumar is survived by his wife, veteran actor Saira Banu. The late actor's funeral will take place at 5 pm, today in Mumbai.
