Veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar has claimed that objectionable videos of actresses were secretly recorded on film sets in the Malayalam film industry.
According to Manorama News, Radhika Sarathkumar disclosed that she witnessed men on set watching these illicit clips on their phones, which were taken without the actresses' knowledge.
"I have seen this. I have seen videos of women changing clothes in their caravans," Radhika Sarathkumar stated, though she refrained from naming the film or the individuals involved. The actress recounted her experience of discovering such disturbing behavior on a film set, where she confronted those responsible for managing the caravans.
Recalling her reaction, Radhika Sarathkumar said, "I was extremely angry. I demanded to be kept safe... I made it clear that I didn't want the caravan and went back to my room."
Radhika Sarathkumar further expressed her dismay at how the responsibility of safety has been unfairly placed on women. "So now the burden falls on women. They have to take on the responsibility of protecting themselves. This harassment and mistreatment of women continues in other industries as well," she added.
Meanwhile, Radhika Sarathkumar has appeared in several Malayalam films such as Dileep’s ‘Ramaleela’, Mohanlal starrer ‘Ittymaani Made in China’, and many more.
