Makers of Mammootty starrer 'The Priest' were filming the final schedule of the movie in Kuttikkanam, Kerala. The team completed filming for the movie. The makers were filming Manju Warrier and Nikhila Vimal's portion and the team successfully filmed it. Directed by debutant Jofin T Chacko, 'The Priest' is expected to be a mystery thriller. Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi's ‘19 (1) (a)’ went on floors


Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi are teaming up for a Malayalam movie titled ‘19 (1) (a)’. The movie is helmed by debutant director Indhu VS and the team started shooting in Kochi. The movie will also feature actors Indrans and Indrajith in pivotal characters. ‘19 (1) (a)’ is backed by Anto Joseph, under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company.

Mohanlal-B Unnikrishnan movie will have action sequences

B Unnikrishnan's upcoming movie with Mohanlal in lead will go on floors on November 16. The filmmaker recently revealed that the film will also have action sequences. This will apparently become the first movie during the pandemic to shoot extensive action sequences. The industry has been steering away from such action scenes during the pandemic, but the filmmaker shared that high octane action scenes are essential for the film as its a mass entertainer. The team is planning to film following all the precautionary measures.

Ace filmmaker Hariharan bagged the prestigious JC Daniel Award for 2019. The filmmaker was conferred with the award for his contribution to Malayalam cinema during the past five decades. He was chosen by a panel of experts, chaired by renowned writer M T Vasudevan Nair. The award is presented by Kerala Government annually for ‘outstanding contribution to Malayalam cinema’.

Actress Madhubala aka Madhoo Shah has signed a new Malayalam movie titled 'Ennittu Avasanam'. The movie is helmed by 'Vikruthi' director Emcy Joseph. Actors Anna Ben and Arjun Ashokan will be essaying important roles in the movie. The film will go on floors next year, by February and they are planning to release it by mid of 2021.
