'Let me live': Actress assault case survivor speaks out again; Shares painful post amid fresh cyber abuse
TRIGGER WARNING: This article includes references to sexual abuse.
The survivor in the actress assault case has once again spoken from her heart through a powerful social media post. Her message comes after fresh cyber attacks and online harassment which was triggered by a video shared by the second accused.
In her emotional Instagram post, the survivor wrote, “My mistake. When an attack happened against me, I immediately went to the police and moved forward asking for legal action!! I should have accepted everything that happened that day as fate, stayed silent, and told no one anything.”
She went on to express the cruel pressure placed on her, adding that when the video surfaced later, she was left facing questions and blame, pushing her to the edge emotionally.
She strongly condemned those spreading lies and added, “To those who say and spread such disgusting things, I only wish that this situation never happens to you or to anyone in your family!!”
Ending her post, she made a simple but powerful appeal, “Not a victim, not a survivor, just a simple human being. Let me live.”
Earlier, the survivor had shared another note marking the long legal journey. “8 years, 9 months, 23 days… At the end of this journey of immense pain and heartache, I see a small ray of light. Six of the accused have been convicted.” She dedicated the verdict to those who called the case fake and branded her a liar.
She also firmly denied claims about the first accused, saying, “He is neither my driver nor my employee. He was just someone hired by the production company for a shoot. I only saw him once or twice before the crime.”
She further wrote, "My heartfelt thanks to everyone who stood by me throughout this long journey."
