Watch: Kamal Haasan on ‘Manjummel Boys’: I liked the film very much

The latest Malayalam release, ‘Manjummel Boys’, released on February 22, managed to earn Rs 50 crore in 7 days. Not just that, it also grabbed the attention of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan himself! Kamal Haasan was so impressed with ‘Manjummel Boys’ that he invited the whole team to Chennai. The cast and crew of ‘Manjummel Boys’ visited Kamal Haasan’s Chennai office and spent some quality time with the legend.

The ‘Manjummel Boys’ team has now dropped the video of their interaction with Kamal Haasan, and you cannot miss it. In the video, Kamal Haasan can be seen praising the film. “I liked the film very much. Not because it has Kamal Haasan’s name.”

Kamal Haasan’s ‘Guna’ and the iconic song ‘Kanmani Anbodu’ also have significance in ‘Manjummel Boys’. Drawing parallels between both films, Kamal Haasan added, “Love can also be between friends.”

Directed by Chidambaram, ‘Manjummel Boys’ stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S. Poduval, and Lal Jr. in the lead roles.
