Joju George's ‘freaken’ bike stunts in Peace

, in which the shaggy-haired Joju plays a character named Carlos.

Speaking about the photo of the stunt, which has been doing the rounds of social media, the actor says laughing, “It is funny, because in my youth when my friends and I used to do these bike tricks in my hometown Mala, people used to be irritated and call us good-for-nothings. But because I did these things when I was younger, I am able to do these bike stunts for cinema. Of course, I am doing them again after a long time.”

While actor Kunchacko Boban teased asking if the bike lifted under his weight, others like Soubin, Unni Mukundan and Saiju Kurup seemed impressed.

While not divulging much about his role, he explains that the stunts are part of his character as an “aged freaken; someone who still lives it up”. The shoot of the film, which is directed by Zanfeer K, is taking place in Kochi and Thodupuzha, among some other spots. The film also has Shalu Rahim, Aditi Ravi, and is written by Zafar Sanal and Ramesh Girija. Shameer Gibran is the cinematographer.

Peace is Joju’s first shoot since the lockdown, though he has also signed a couple of others. The actor’s next with June director Ahammed Khabeer, titled Insha Allah, is also being produced by him. He also has Karthika Avalokanam with a debutant director.
