Arjun Ashokan to headline Arun Gopy’s debut production; Balu Varghese, Althaf Salim, and Sarath Sabha join the fun entertainer

Arjun Ashokan is joining hands with Arun Gopy, best known for his films ‘Ramaleela,’ ‘Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu,’ and ‘Bandra.’ However, Arun Gopy is not directing but bankrolling the film. The upcoming film will mark his maiden production venture. The film is touted to be a fun entertainer that revolves around friends. Starring Arjun Ashokan, the film also has Balu Varghese, Althaf Salim, and Sarath Sabha in important roles. The film is scripted by Sanoop Thykoodam, who has written the screenplay for the recent release ‘Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies.’ ’.

The film was launched on Monday, January 19, in Kochi with a puja ceremony. MP Hibi Eden, actor Harisree Ashokan, cinematographer Shaji Kumar, director Dolwin Kuriakose, producer Dolwin Kuriakose, and actor-producer Sheelu Abraham, among others, were also present at the puja ceremony.

Debutant Nikhil Mohan is directing the film. While announcing his production banner, Arun Gopy said, ‘It is a dream built with hard work, endless effort, and countless prayers. I sincerely thank each and every soul who supported me—directly and indirectly—believed in me, stood by me, and encouraged me through every phase. None of this would have been possible without you. With your love and blessings, we hope to create stories that truly come from the heart,” he said.

Arun Gopy-Arjun Ashokan’s film is yet to be titled

Though the makers have officially launched the film with a puja ceremony, they are yet to announce the title. The makers have hinted that the first schedule of the film will be in Dubai, followed by Puducherry, Kochi, and Coimbatore.

The director, Nikhil Mohan, is a former associate of filmmaker Dijo Jose Antony. He was also the co-writer of the Dileep starrer ‘Prince and Family.’

Meanwhile, on the technical side, the film’s cinematography will be done by Saneesh Stanley, and Sagar Das is the editor. The music is composed by Electronic Kili.

On the other hand, Arjun Ashokan’s recent release is ‘Chatha Pacha.’ The film hit the cinemas on January 22.
