Five things that make Mammootty's 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal' a compelling watch

As the much anticipated Mammootty movie 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal' is preparing for theater release tomorrow, there are a lot of specialties to this crime thriller which makes it a compelling watch for movie lovers. The trailer of the movie saw Mammootty in a stylish makeover with a determined and hardened look on his face and the movie is likely to be a nail-biting crime thriller. Other than superstar Mammootty in the lead role, there are some features which make 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal' a cinematic feast.

2/6

Mammootty as a police officer

Mammootty as a police officer will never get old as the actor's charisma and look always suits the role of an investigation officer. Be it the rude cop in 'Inspector Balram' or the dexterous one in 'August 12', or the manly cop in 'Roudram', Mammootty has always shone as a police officer. In 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal' also, the megastar essays the role of an IPS officer named Derek Abraham. Mammootty comes in two different get-ups for the movie, of which one is a salt and pepper look. The movie, reportedly a crime thriller, promises to have a gripping narrative with Mammootty as the investigative officer who is battling with his own personal demons. Emerging actor Anson Paul will play the role of Mammootty's brother in the movie.

3/6

Experienced Shaji Padoor's debut movie as an independent director

Shaji Padoor, who is one of the most experienced assistant directors in Malayalam film industry, is for the first time making a movie independently. Shaji Padoor who has assisted prominent directors like Joshiy, Shaji Kailas, Renji Panicker and Vyshakh in the past has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and is well aware of cinematic expressions. Shaji has assisted in big-budget movies like 'The Great Father', 'Pulimurugan' and 'Ramaleela'. Shaji's longtime friendship with Mammootty has helped the director to materialize this project. From the trailer of the movie itself, Shaji's experience in visualizing situations is evident with every shot.

4/6

Stylish cinematography of Alby

Cinematography has been a highlight of new generation movies and filmgoers are particular about the cinematic experience of every shot. Alby Antony who was noted for his works in movies like 'Gangster', 'Hi', 'I'm Tony', 'Honey Bee', 'Anju Sundarikal' etc will be the cinematographer of 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal'. Alby's contemporary style of setting a frame and lighting has been much appreciated. The trailer of the movie itself shows how much detailing, Alby has put into every frame of the movie, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it is going to be a technically enriched cinematic experience.

5/6

Haneef Adeni's script

Haneef Adeni who directed Mammootty's mass entertainer 'The Great Father', has scripted 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal'. 'The Great Father' which tells the story of a father named David, who is in the hunt for a psychopath- who assaults David's daughter, was a box office hit for its style and suspense. Fans are expecting a similar kind of success from Haneef, who pens down the script for 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal', presumably another suspense thriller. Mammootty, for some time, hasn't created any box office hit as his last movie 'Parole and Street Light' failed to make an impact. Fans now hope that Mammootty will make a kingly return with this thrilling script written by Haneef.

6/6

Gopi Sundar musical

Gopi Sundar is undoubtedly one of the top music composers in Mollywood right now., and he has handled the music department for 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal' too. One of the songs from the movie starting with the lyrics 'Yerusalemile Nayaka' blends with the ecclesiastical mood of the movie. The trailer of the movie had a tension-filled, sinister aura created through the intriguing BGM by Gopi Sundar. Gopi Sundar has provided compositions according to the mood of the movie and situations, and fans hope the musician will repeat his magic in 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal' once again.
