The 63rd Filmfare Awards South that was held in Hyderabad recently had its share of aww romantic moments. While Suriya and Jyothika sweet display of affection onstage had everyone clutching their hearts, we even caught namma Power Star, Puneeth Rajkumar, whispering sweet nothings to wife Ashwini. Here’s a look at the adorable couples from the starry night that we just can’t get enough of.


Suriya and Jyothika

Power couple Suriya and Jyothika became the talk of the evening, when she repeatedly thanked him for not expecting her to cook his diet food, look after the kids, etc., and instead letting her explore her horizons in films. It helped that Suriya presented the Black Lady to Jyothika, who won the critics’ award for Best Actor (Female) for her role in the Tamil film 36 Vayadinile, which she promptly dedicated to her husband. Sweet!

Aarthi and Jayam Ravi

It looks like Tamil actor Jayam Ravi only had eyes for his lady love, wife Aarthi. The couple were the cynosure of all eyes when they walked down the red carpet hand in hand. They were seated next to each other through the night, and were chatting throughout the event. We loved how their looks complement each other — Aarthi looking resplendent in a red sari with green blouse, and Jayam looking retro chic in a dark grey chequered suit.

Ashwini and Puneeth Rajkumar

Another couple that stayed close to each other through the night was Puneeth Rajkumar and his wife Ashwini. Mrs Puneeth Rajkumar cheered and beamed when the Power Star received the Best Actor (Male) award. We managed to get this candid picture of Puneeth whisperings sweet nothings into Ashwini's ears. Chinmayi Sripada and Rahul Ravindaran

This was the first couple to walk down the red carpet and all eyes were on them as they were the hosts of the evening. Hosting the awards for the second straight year, their onstage rapport and chemistry was one to look out for. It was heartening to see them helping each other when one got the pronunciation in Kannada or Malayalam wrong. They were also firmly by each other’s side at the after party. Ideal couple, this!
