Upendra, Shivarajkumar to team up for period film?

Historical film Yuge Yuge may finally see the light of day, what with the makers hoping to zero in on Kannada star Shivarajkumar for one of the lead roles. Earlier, the film was to star Upendra alongside the late Vishnuvardhan. After the latter���������s demise, the project was stuck in limbo.
���������Vishnuvardhan was keen on playing one of the lead roles. But unfortunately, he passed away and I had kept the story on hold for more than a year. Now that I have decided to take it up again, I wanted to give the best. Vijendra Prasad (director SS Rajamouli���������s father) is working on the climax scene,��������� says actor-filmmaker Rockline Venkatesh.
While industry sources hint at Shivarajkumar being roped in for the project in place of Vishnuvardhan, Venkatesh tells us, ���������The script is the most important aspect for such a film. I am working at getting a bound script in hand before I finalize the star cast. If I zero in on the cast now and they allot dates for the film, and then if I am not able to start work on time, it���������s going to make things difficult for everybody.���������
The film, to be directed by TS Nagabharana, is said to be a fictional historical venture. "Contrary to what has been said about this film, it has nothing to do with the Bijala and Basavana story. Instead, it will be along the lines of Magadheera,��������� adds Venkatesh.

���������I have not been approached for any such role as of now. However, I am quite a fan of period flicks. I look forward to being a part of such ventures.���������
