Ravichandran begins shooting for Drishya 2
With a simple muhurtha on Monday in Bengaluru, the ahooting of Drishya 2 has begun. The film, which has Ravichandran, Navya Nair, Aarohi Narayan, Pramod Shetty, Asha Sharath and Prabhu in lead roles, is the official remake of the Malayalam film Drishyam 2, which received good response from viewers across the country.
Latest news from the team is that veteran actor Ananth Nag will be seen in a pivotal role in the movie. Anant Nag says, “I had not shot for one and half years due to the pandemic. I am glad that I will be shooting for this movie.” The actor has revealed that owing to lockdown, he was able to reduce some weight. The movie will be directed by P Vasu who had helmed the Kannada version of first installment, which did exceedingly well at the box office. The team was supposed to shoot in May, but because of lockdown restrictions it had to be postponed.
Meanwhile, Ravichandran has wrapped up shooting for the periodic drama Kannadiga, directed by Giriraj. He will soon begin dubbing for the film. By the end of this year, he plans to direct his two sons in a movie.
