Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shale Kasaragodu

Before Rishab Shetty became famous all over the world for 'Kantara', he had churned out a brilliant children's film 'Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shaale Kasaragodu'. Rishab Shetty narrated this film with full comedy and entertainment keeping the main theme of the Kannada language in focus. How Kannada community students in Kerala's Kasaragod fear a loss of identity and how they save their Kannada government school by hiring a famous social worker from Karnataka and how they find a rational solution to all the issues forms the rest of the story.

Actress Sruthi Hariharan produced this awesome short film 'Last Kannadiga' which asked multiple questions about the plight and importance of Kannada in Karnataka itself. The thought-provoking questions like to which extent do you identify with your native language? In today's fast world does Kannada emotionally connect you? The film spoke about the modern world mindset of people ignoring their mother tongue Kannada and adapting to other languages just like that.

Geetha

‘Geetha’, starring Ganesh, was quite a surprise for the audience to see him in Gokak agitation and the film is a fine tribute to the Kannada language pride. The film’s portions that show the popular Gokak agitation of the 1960s instilled goosebumps in the audience to know the richness and pride of Kannada language history. Sad thing is, even today, Karnataka is fighting for its rights in Northern Karnataka places against other states like Maharashtra.

Gandhada Gudi

Rajkumar films have always been the brand ambassador of spreading the pride of the Kannada language be it any film he does. 'Gandhda Gudi' had Rajkumar playing a forest officer who fights against smuggling and protects natural resources in the forest. The film's core message has been preserving the rich biodiversity Karnataka possesses rather than losing to the illegal mafia who makes money out of it and the pride of the Kannada language the film insists on to the people.
