Dhanveerrah’s safari video lands him in trouble

The actor, however, gets cleared after an inquiry
Sandalwood actor

Dhanveerrah

has landed in a controversy after he shared the

video clip

of a tiger-sighting experience at

Bandipur Tiger Reserve

, on his social media page on Friday. He later deleted the post, as it stirred up a row.
Following the incident, the actor had to face an

inquiry

by Range Forest Officer NP Naveen Kumar. Speaking to us, Dhanveerrah says, “I have not violated any forest rules by going on a

night safari

. The authorities can check the CCTV footage to see what time the

safari

vehicle had departed. I went on an evening safari, which was scheduled to start at 4.30 pm, but it departed only at around 4.45 pm. There were as many as six safari vehicles. It’s not only me who sighted a tiger, there were other people too. The inquiry officer asked me to show the timing of the video recorded which is between 6.25 pm and 6.30 pm. He was satisfied with all my answers.”
Commenting on the incident, Naveen says, “Dhanveerrah had returned to the safari point at 6.40 pm, after which he had shared the video on social media. We treat everyone equally, whether common people or celebrities. Dhanveerrah has not flouted any forest rules. But since it is the onset of winter and it gets dark sooner now, the video wrongly gave an impression that it was a night safari.”
