Officials are awaiting the findings of the joint survey conducted by the department of survey, settlement and land records. The actor's family, however, may be spared the ignominy of BBMP bulldozers razing the property in Ideal Homes Layout as the authorities have acceded to their request that they will clear the illegal portion themselves.

has said that if we provide evidence, they will demolish the portion of the house themselves. They have sought a few days. Once we get the survey report, we will hand it over to them. If they fail, BBMP will take steps to raze the portion,' he added.
It is said that Darshan's family bought the plot with a smaller house about a decade ago and expanded the same. He said that they have found violations pertaining to the formation of the layout and they will initiate criminal proceedings against the developer as well.
