Can’t experiment too much with Vinay: Prem

The director-actor will direct Vinay Rajkumar in his second movie
Can’t experiment too much with Vinay: Prem
Director-actor Prem has been entrusted with the duty of making Vinay Rajkumar’s second film, given that his debut Sidhartha was well-received by audiences. “I’ve been in talks with the family for over three months, as they wanted me to helm Vinay’s second film. While I was OK with the idea, the fact that my schedule is choc-a-bloc — with my acting commitments Hitler and Bholenath, and my third project with Shivarajkumar, after Jogi and Jogaiah, called Jangama — I was not sure if I could do it. But when Amma (Parvathamma Rajkumar) insisted, I agreed to do it,” says Prem.
While the Rajkumar family held a script puja on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi on Saturday, Prem says that he is yet to plan the film. “Vinay is still young and making baby steps in the industry, so I can’t experiment too much when directing him. I have a few ideas and will begin scripting soon. The title and the film will be officially launched on April 24, on the birth anniversary of Vinay’s grandfather, the late matinee idol, Rajkumar,” adds the filmmaker.
Vinay, meanwhile, is off to Mumbai to train in dance and action under the teams of choreographer Chinni Prakash and director Rohit Shetty respectively. “I am just going there for a different exposure,” says the young actor.
